What is IP address ? How many types of IP address ?

INTRODUCTION  OF IP;-

IP address is a address through we use  all technology device. IP means ‘Internet Protocol’ address.
We find any location through IP address .We use different types of IP address. Such as-
1.Public IP
2.Private IP
3.Dynamic IP
4.Static IP
1.Public IP Address;- Public IP address is an address through we use to access the Internet. It is
connected anyone directly from Internet to any device. It is rotatable.
It is an IP address  that your
or business router receives form your ISP (Internet service provider) and  is used when you access the internet. Public IP  addresses are required for any publicly accessible network, hardware, such as a home router and the servers that host websites.
You can buy this IP address from Internet Service Provider available in your region.
 Public IP address range;-
*Class A  1 to 126 – For special purpose
*Class B  128 to 191- For medium organisation
*Class C 192 to 223- For small organisation
Example=>
     Google.com- 172.217.22.14
      Google’s DNS server- 8.8.8.8
All public IP addresses in the Internet are unique to their host or server and cannot duplicate assignment.
* How to find your Public IP address ?
. Google
. What is my IP address
. IP-Lookup.net
. IP Location Finder

2. Private IP;-

Private IP is known as local IP. Both the IPv4  and IPv6  specifications define private IP address ranges. These addresses are cased for local area networks (LANs) in residential, office, and
enterprise environment. Private IP address cannot be routed.
There are two versions of IP address is use today.
* IPv4- Internet Protocol version 4
* IPV6- Internet Protocol version 6
IPv4 is still used  today on both the internet, and many corporate networks.

IPv4;-

   172      .      16      .      254     .       1
     |                  |                |                 |
11010100.00010000.11111110.00000001
|              | |              | |             | |               |
      |
|   8 bits                                                     |
                            |
                 32 bits ( 4 bytes)
. IPv4 is 32 bits numeric address divided into four parts
. Each 8 bit is known as a block, and it produces 0-255 numbers
. The IP version 4 can produce 4 billion unique addresses
. Input addresses represent the binary number in decimal
. Header length of IPv 4  is 20 byte
.It support manual and DHCP configuration.
. IPv4 uses the broadcasting  to transmit the packet to the destination.
.IPv4 does not provide authentication and encryption process
.We connect 2 crores system in a single network of IPv4 A class range
. B class- We connect 65 thousand plus system
. C class- We connect 255 system
. Sub net mask is the identity of a IP address

IPv6;-

<————————128 bits Hexadecimal Address———————————–>
0010011011011011: 0100001100001101: …………….; 0100001010000101

. Internet protocol version 6 is most recent version

. It has 128 bit address length
. IPv6 address represents the binary numbers in hexadecimals
. Header length of  IPv6 is 40 byte
. It support auto-configuration
. IPv6 uses multi casting transmit packet
. IPv6 provides authentication and encryption
. IPv6 address is flexible and capable of running high performance
.priority of Traffic consumption
. It is 4 bits IP
. Flow label is 24 bits
. Payload  length is 16 bits
. next header length is 8 bits
. Hop limit is 8 bits
. Destination IP address is 16 bytes internet address that usually identified the final destination of data gram
. Source IP address 16 bytes internet address identified in the source of  data gram

3. Dynamic IP;-

A dynamic IP address is an address that changes from time to time unlike a static IP address.

It is a temporary IP address.
Most home networks are likely to have a dynamic IP address.Because  it is cost effective for
Internet Service Provider (ISPs) to allocate dynamic IP addresses to there customers.
IP address can be shared IP address pool.It configured automatically.
It is easy the ways of process to updates.
You saw a IP address. If it is using DHCP protocol , that is called dynamic IP address.
DHCP means Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
Steps of DHCP protocol;-
. Server discovery, IP lease offer, IP lease request, and IP lease acknowledgement
. These stages are often abbreviated as DORA for  discovery, offer, request, and acknowledgement
. The DHCP operation begins with clients broadcasting a request
* how to configure dynamic IP address (DHCP) using settings ?
. Go to setting
. open setting
. Click on the Network & Internet
. Click on the Ethernet or WiFi
. Then click on the Network connection
. Bellow the “IP setting” section, click the Edit button
. Use the Edit IP settings drop down menu and  select the Automatic (DHCP) option
. Then click on the save button

4.Static IP address;-

Static IP address is a permanent IP address. It is fixed forever. If you connected to an Internet, connection that is always on, most likely you have a static IP address.

The mobile node is always associated with its permanent  IP address. Example- 128.226.3.30 .
Through  A Class Network  has a home agent, data grams destined for the mobile node are delivered
through the normal IP address.
* Static IP address uses in which device;-
a. Router
b. Printer
c. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server
d. DHCP server

Public static IP address are required for any publicly accessible network hardware, such as –
a home router and the servers that host websites.
You can buy a public IP address from Internet Service Provider available in your region.
Lease line will cost you more as it will be a dedicated bandwidth connection and will offer public static IP address too.
You can purchase a 5 Mb/s lease line  with sub net mask for around 1-1.5 Lakhs per Annum.

Most important thing-
. Static dedicated IP is permanent IP
. It is use for one user
. It is most valuable
. Dedicated IP through Google  simply track your website
. It is secure
